Tyee PTSA is partnering with Smith Brothers Farms to raise money! Sign up for grocery home delivery using Code TYEEPTSA to receive $15 in free groceries, and Smith Brothers Farms will donate $50 to Tyee PTSA. Donation accumulate with each new customer and fund local education, youth programs, and extra-curricular activities in our Tyee community. Support our kids and enjoy Smith Brother's fresh dairy, almond or oat milk, local fruit and vegetables, proteins, bread and bakery items.

Tyee Families, please contribute to the 2024-25 “Tyee Bucks” fundraising campaign! “Tyee Bucks” donations directly support Tyee field trips, classroom supplies/equipments, teacher grants, student social events, PTSA programs & clubs, and more. This is Tyee PTSA’s main revenue source. The following video will show you the main functions of PTSA and where PTSA funds are allocated. You can also consult the Pie Chart below to see where Tyee bucks go. We recommend that families contribute $150 per Tyee student, but any donation amount you are comfortable with is appreciated.

After all pre-orders are placed, we will place an order with our supplier with an estimated 1-2 month turnaround time to be shipped back to us. When the ordered items arrive, we will let you know about it and the date for your student to pick up during school lunch time. All items are made to order and all sales are final. The advocacy chair represents Tyee PTSA at the Washington State PTA Legislative Assembly in October. The chair votes on our PTSA's behalf regarding the WSPTA's legislative platform (https://www.wastatepta.org/focus-areas/advocacy/). The chair reports back to our members on the outcome of the meeting.

Tyee Chess Club is organized and led by high school students who are providing Tyee students with an opportunity to play, learn, and improve in chess. Weekly meetings will contain fun casual games, optional lessons, online tournaments, resources for competitive players, and snacks. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills and compete in the WA Middle School Championship in addition to playing casual chess games at Tyee.

This club will be participating in a national level contest called "The American Rocketry Competition" which can be found at The American Rocketry Challenge - World's Largest Student Rocket Contest and teams have the opportunity to advance to an international level contest if qualified.

Tyee Finance Club is working with Junior Achievement WA, a global non-profit youth organization founded in 1919, to bring their financial literacy and entrepreneurship program – JA Finance Park to Tyee students.
This program offers 12 Zoom lessons covering personal financial planning and career exploration. At the culmination of this instructor-led program, students visit JA Finance Park virtual community, to put into practice what they’ve learned by developing and committing to a personal budget.

The primary goal of debate club will be to help students gain real experience debating and public speaking with or against their peers, which will help them develop important skills including research, writing, critical thinking, and public speaking.

Python Bytes aims at teaching basic Python programming skills to students. The club welcome both Beginner Coders (Level 1)
who have zero Python knowledge and also Medium level coders (Level 2) who have some knowledge of Python syntax. The club aims at making programming ""FUN"" by moving from concepts to simple games and projects that students can be proud of.

This club targets the First Lego League Competition in the beginning of December. In addition to working as a team to design, build, and program the Lego Robotics for the competition, the students will practice the core value of Robotics League, and do research on how to resolve the problems and reach the goal.

The Walk About Program at Tyee is a PTSA-sponsored, school-supported, parent-staffed program that provides a positive and friendly adult presence on campus during high-traffic times (before school and lunch times). The additional adult presence encourages appropriate behavior allowing students to feel safe. It gives them an additional connection to a big part of their child’s day. It's fun, flexible and easy way to get involved.
Walk About receives great administrative support from teachers and staff. All are welcome to participate after completing a one-time training session and completing the required BSD Application online. It is a very popular program for working parents because of the times to volunteer. Sign up once a week, once a month, or whatever works with your schedule. |

The Reflections program is sponsored by National PTA to promote and encourage artistic creativity, both in the classroom and at home. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to showcase their creative talents in a nationally acclaimed student recognition program.
This program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life. |
